My Method

Colour Analysis

Your image is like your personal logo, it’s how you introduce yourself to the world before you speak.

First impressions happen in seconds, and they matter.

Creating an authentic and empowering image is more than a profession; it’s my passion.

I use the Giusy de Gori Method, a style methodology developed by my teacher and mentor Giusy de Gori, who’s also the author of the successful book Manuale di Armocromia.

In this method, Colour Analysis and Yin & Yang blend together while also considering additional elements such as background, preferences, culture, and overall vibe of my customer.

These disciplines are notoriously focused on Western and Caucasian standards: this is something which I always found wrong. One of my most important missions is to make Colour Analysis and Style inclusive and focused on all different types of beauty and characteristics without automatisms.

Since we work with something so personal and vulnerable, creating a connection and looking at things from different angles is very important.

Colour Analysis (Armocromia in Italian)

We discover the colours that naturally enhance your features, making you look and feel amazing. I use the 16 seasons method which is based on the following principles:

  • Temperature (cold to warm)
  • Value (dark to light)
  • Chroma (high to low)

The concept of season is used as a way to describe your colour palette to create a basic scheme that will eventually be tailored to you; the idea of season goes back to the artist Johannes Itten, who is considered one of the founders of the concept of colour analysis as we currently know it.

Sometimes it might happen that you don’t like your season: most of the time people learn to appreciate it later, after experimenting with different colours.

It’s normal, learning something new about ourselves can be intimidating and it might take time to process.

Since I do not like to put people in a box, the use of Yin and Yang will help us refine your colour palette and make sure that you will be happy with it.

Styling using Yin and Yang and Perfumes

You might be familiar with Kibbe’s Image Archetypes or Kitchener’s Essences, which focus heavily on body shape and adhere to a specific set of rules. While these methods offer valuable insights, they can often feel restrictive, leaving little room for creativity or personal expression.

My approach takes these ideas further, offering a more adaptable and personalized framework. Categories are not rules; they’re tools to help us explore and refine our style.

Here’s the foundation:
  • Yin characteristics are associated with soft, flowing fabrics, rounded shapes, and gentle, muted tones.
  • Yang characteristics lean towards structured materials, sharp geometric patterns, and bold, angular lines.

By understanding how lines, shapes, and colors interact, you can tailor your appearance to align with your goals.

The way you present yourself can have a strong impact in many situations: for example in the way you command a room in a business meeting or by feeling effortlessly chic on a casual outing.

Rather than focusing solely on body or face shape, we’ll consider your personality, lifestyle, and goals.

This concept can also extend to perfumes.

Fragrance is an often-overlooked part of your visual and sensory identity. The right scent doesn’t just complement your outfit; it tells a story and enhances how you’re perceived. Before you even walk into a room, your scent can create an impression, subtle yet powerful.

Whether for professional settings, social occasions, or day-to-day life, knowing how to transofrm your style and scent will impact the way you present yourself.

It’s about using your image as a tool, not just to communicate who you are, but to create opportunities and leave a lasting impression.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don’t I see an exact address?

For security reasons, I don’t share my address online. However, it's very close to the Wilhelminaplein metro stop, and the full address will be provided once we book a consultation.

In what languages are consultations offered?

English and Italian.

Do you work with men?

Yes.

Do you have experience with people of different ethnicities?

Yes, I’ve studied colour analysis and styling with a strong focus on diversity. Many colour analysis specialists tend to be very white/Caucasian-focused, assigning people of different ethnicities the same few seasons. While there are majorities of certain seasons and colour palettes, I don’t work with automatism. No matter your ethnicity, you can be any season/style. A big majority of my customers have been people of different ethnicities.

What’s the difference between online and in-person consultations?

Both are equally effective, however online consultations require you to have a high-quality camera, strong internet, and good natural lighting during the video call. In-person, I’ll use my drapes and products, while online, you’ll work with items you already have, offering a bonus of a mini wardrobe review. For Yin & Yang consultations, we’ll work with your own clothes and accessories instead of going to a shop. If we meet in person later, you can request a complimentary in-person confirmation of your analysis.

Can I ask follow-up questions after my consultation?

Yes, feel free to reach out. However, if you have multiple questions and it looks like you still have many doubts, it might be best to book a follow-up session to go through everything in detail.

Why are some services only available after doing a Colour Analysis and Style Yin and Yang consultation?

Because if for example you want me to review your wardrobe or go shopping with you, if I don’t know what suits you I won’t be able to advise you.

What if I don’t like my season or Yin & Yang analysis?

Don’t worry, my approach is flexible. We’ll use the analysis as a foundation, and work together to shape a style that feels authentic and empowering for you. Many clients have grown to love their analysis after some time.

Can I share my experience on social media?

Yes, feel free to share your experience and pictures! While I’m not highly active on social media, I always appreciate it when you spread the word

Can I do a consultation with someone else?

I can work with a maximum of two people at once. I don't do group sessions, as it takes away from the personal experience.

Why are the consultations so long?

I focus on quality over quantity. I want to ensure you get the most out of your consultation, and that we have enough time to cover everything thoroughly. If we finish early, that’s fine, but it’s important to have enough time reserved.

You have cats but I’m afraid/allergic. Can we do the consultation in a different place?

We can discuss potential accommodations, feel free to get in touch.

Do you offer gift cards in case I want to give one of your services as a gift to a friend?

Yes, I do! Feel free to reach out for more info.

Do you offer tailored services for businesses (B2B)?

Yes, just pitch me your idea and we can talk about it.
